College football bowl selection

Virginia Tech beats Boston College to earn a bid to play Kansas in the FedEx Orange Bowl. I am especially happy to see how the game ended against BC.

When we played BC at home earlier in the season, we totally dominated them on both ends, except… the last two minutes. Matt Ryan led BC to an unbelievable comeback victory and stunned us by throwing two late TD passes.

However, in the rematch for the ACC Championship game, Matt Ryan was under a similar situation. BC trailed by 7 points and needed a TD to tie the score. Vince Hall, the Hokies lineback, who did not play in the first BC game, intercepted Ryan’s desperation pass on 4th down. However, we could not get a first down and had to pun. Ryan then threw another interception to our other lineback, Xavier Adibi who caught the ball and returned it for a TD.

Matt Ryan and BC, take that!!!

You had two TDs in the first game, but you had two interceptions in the rematch. Gotta love it.

On another note, West Virginia lost to rival Pittsburgh although the Mountaineers was a 4-TD favor and Pittsburg was only 4-7. They totally fucked up and lost the game and a chance to play for the national championship. Since VT and WVU used to play a rivalry game every year whey we were in the Big East, I am just so happy to see West Virginia lose.

It was a very nice weekend to celebrate both victories. However, I would rather play Missouri instead of Kansas. Our defense will suffocate the Jayhawks. They don’t even have a chance. They can only beat cupcakes. Look how they fared against Missouri. Moreover, since Noah used to go to Missouri, I would love to kick his ass. But I guess he has to root for VT now that we play his rival Kansas.
